KINGSTON'S TOP ELECTRICIAN

If you have small children then you know how much trouble they can get into. That periodic crash from the next room is enough to send chills down your spine.

When it comes to your electrical however, there are several things you can do to reduce the risk of injury.

  1. Plug it – there are different variations of plugs that you can get that will make it impossible for your toddlers to stick their fingers or your utensils in the outlets.
  2. Hide the cord – you can do it by using tracking or have an electrician put in outlets higher on the wall. What’s important is that you should take the temptation away.
  3. Move it or lose it – sometimes you just have to move the stereo to a different corner of the room. That may require a new outlet, but the safety is worth it.

If you have a new baby on the way or toddlers in your home then you will want to audit your electrical to make sure it’s safe. Much of the work you can do on your own, but remember to get a licensed electrician¬† for any wiring work.
