The Most Important Thing To Do Before Leaving The Cottage
Everyone loves the summer, especially when they have a cottage, even if it’s only for a weekend or two. Aside from the commute, people yearn for the cottage and entire industries have been established to cater to the crowd.
As we near the end of summer however, we aren’t spending as much time at the cottage. The time spent away from the lakehouse is growing while the time spent sitting in the lawn chairs, a cold beverage in hand, is slowly shrinking.
Remember this the next time you visit the cottage. Take a look around you before you leave to make sure everything that needs to be shut down is, while everything that needs to be turned on, is in good running condition. You may not rely on the power to keep everything in top shape, but if a power outage can cause a rotten mess in the fridge or a basement full of water, your final weekend at the lake can be ruined.
